Who should help me with my ballot by mail?

Complete the ballot yourself if you are able. If you need assistance, have someone you trust provide the assistance. Campaign workers for a party or candidate should assist you only if you request their help.

After you have voted, place the voted ballot by mail in the white envelope and seal the envelope. Place the white envelope in the yellow envelope and seal the yellow envelope. Sign your name across the flap in the space indicated. If assistance is provided, that person must fill out their name and address on the yellow ballot envelope. Place a stamp on the envelope and return it by mail to the early voting clerk.

Where can I vote on Election Day?

There are thirty-five election precincts for the County of Victoria. Each has a polling place located within the precinct boundaries. On Election Day you should vote at your precinct polling place.

The polling place is normally a public building, most often a school. Sometimes the county uses a church or private residence for voting. Your voter registration card has a precinct number. Check your number against the polling place list.

Each of the political sub-divisions within the county also have precinct boundaries and polling places within those boundaries. The county, navigation district and college precinct lines coincide exactly. Inside the city limits all precinct boundaries and polling places are the same for city, school, and county. Outside the city limits and within the county lines, the school districts share precinct boundary lines with the county which are within the school district's boundaries.
